My Journey to Healing
A battle with life-long treatment-resistant depression
A battle with life-long treatment-resistant depression

After 30 plus years of living with treatment-resistant depression, I’ve decided to try something new: TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) therapy.
This wasn’t an easy decision. I’ve spent decades trying medications, therapy, lifestyle changes—you name it. Some things helped a little, many didn’t. And honestly, after a while, hope starts to feel like a risk.
But after learning more about TMS—how it works, who it’s helped, and how non-invasive it is—I realized it might be time to try a different path. No meds. No sedation. Just gentle, targeted stimulation to help "wake up" the parts of my brain that have been quiet for too long.
I’m sharing this not for support, but because I know I’m not the only one out there feeling stuck, exhausted, or quietly fighting a battle every day. If TMS helps, I want others to know there are still options.
Thanks to everyone who’s walked beside me all these years. I’ll share updates as I go. Here's to new beginnings.
